Anime City Rush: Choose Your August Reward
KOOLLIA’s Anime City Rush event offers three ways to prepare for convention season. These benefits do not stack, so choose the offer that works best for your order.
Buy Two or More Basic Wigs and Save 10%
Add two or more eligible Basic Wigs to the same order to receive 10% off the qualifying wigs at checkout.
This is a useful option if you are preparing more than one character, building backup looks, or ordering with a friend.
Spend $100+ and Unlock a Styling Tool Set
An eligible merchandise total of $100 or more may unlock a Heat-Resistant Gloves & Diamond Pins Tool Set. The set includes one heat-resistant anti-slip glove, 50 diamond pins, and two alligator clips.
Spend $300+ and Unlock a QuickStyle Flat Iron
An eligible merchandise total of $300 or more may unlock a QuickStyle Flat Iron. Its compact ceramic plates can help smooth, straighten, and shape suitable heat-resistant wigs.
Important: Free gifts are not added to the cart automatically. After reaching a reward level, refresh the page or reopen the cart. You must then add the unlocked gift from the milestone area before checkout.
The $100 and $300 gift levels do not stack. Only one gift may be claimed per qualifying order, and the gift must match the highest eligible level reached. Gifts are available while supplies last.

Choose the Right Cosplay Wig for Your Convention
Different cosplay plans need different levels of preparation. KOOLLIA offers three main wig options.
Basic Wigs for DIY Styling
Basic cosplay wigs are a good choice when you want to cut, curl, tease, or shape the wig yourself. They give you more freedom to adjust the style for your face and costume.
Choose a basic wig if you enjoy DIY styling or need an affordable starting point for a new character.
Styled Basic Wigs for Less Preparation
Styled Basic Wigs arrive with more of the character’s shape already prepared. Depending on the design, this may include cutting, layers, bangs, curls, spikes, or added volume.
This option can reduce your styling time before the convention, although small adjustments may still be needed after shipping.
Commission Wigs for Complex Character Hair
Custom cosplay wig commissions are designed for characters with complex shapes, structured spikes, special color work, ornaments, or anti-gravity styles.
Because commission wigs require more design and production time, send your character references and event deadline as early as possible.
Check Before Using Heat on a Wig
Many synthetic cosplay wigs are made with heat-resistant fiber, but the safe temperature can vary between products. Always check the product description before using a flat iron, curling iron, steamer, or hair dryer.
- Start with the lowest useful temperature.
- Test a small hidden strand first.
- Keep the tool moving instead of holding it in one place.
- Stop immediately if the fiber becomes sticky, rough, or distorted.
- Allow the fiber to cool in the desired shape.
Never assume that every wig can safely handle 180°C. Follow the temperature guidance for the specific product you purchased.
Four Practical Convention Wig Tips
1. Complete a Full Test Run
Wear the wig together with your wig cap, costume, makeup, and accessories before the event. Check the fit, hairline, visibility, and comfort from several angles.
A full test run gives you time to fix loose clips, long bangs, uneven layers, or accessories that do not stay in place.
2. Pack a Small Wig Repair Kit
A simple repair kit can save your look during a long convention day. Consider packing:
- A small comb
- Bobby pins
- Alligator clips
- A small amount of wig-safe styling product
- Extra hair ties or clear elastic bands
- Spare clips for ornaments
Browse wig styling tools before building your convention repair kit.
3. Plan for Comfort
A wig should feel secure, but it should not cause strong pressure or pain. Adjust the cap straps before the event and avoid making them tighter than necessary.
A wig grip may improve stability for some wearers. Take regular breaks in a cool area, especially when wearing a heavy, long, or highly structured wig. Remove the wig if you feel dizzy, overheated, numb, or unwell.
4. Follow Venue and Heat-Safety Rules
Some venues may limit the use of heated styling tools. Check the convention rules before bringing a flat iron or curling tool inside.
If heated tools are allowed, use them only in a safe area with a stable surface and suitable power supply. Never leave a heated tool unattended.
Prepare Your Convention Look Early
A great cosplay wig needs more than a last-minute brush. Give yourself enough time to test the fit, make adjustments, secure accessories, and practice wearing the full look.
